Ryan Jolley for Mayor

Election Day is November 5th - Early Voting begins October 8th

I'm running for mayor because I love our city, and I want the next generation to have the same great opportunities that I had while growing up here. Working together, I know we can preserve what makes Gahanna great while preparing for unexpected challenges and exciting opportunities in our rapidly growing Central Ohio region.

I have the education, experience, and passion to modernize our local government. We can provide better services, reduce costs, and be more transparent about how government is spending our tax dollars. I will balance the budget while fixing our roads and improving our parks and senior center, maintaining a great quality of life for all of our residents. Lastly, we’ll work on easing the burden for older residents and those living on a fixed income.

Throughout this campaign, I have spoken with thousands of residents around Gahanna, and I am excited for our future.

I hope to earn your vote for Mayor on November 5th

Ryan is grateful and proud to be endorsed by these individuals and organizations:

About Ryan

Ryan Jolley’s commitment to serving the public is rooted in his desire to improve the lives of those around him. In November 2001, Ryan became the youngest elected official in the state of Ohio. He is the only person to ever serve Gahanna residents on both City Council and the Board of Education. Ryan continues to serve the public as an employee in the City of Gahanna’s Department of Public Service and Engineering.

Raised in Gahanna, Ryan is a graduate of Middle School West, Lincoln High School, and The Ohio State University. After college, he served with Teach For America, teaching math and science at a public school outside of Harlem, New York. In addition to Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Business Administration, Ryan earned Master’s degrees in Mathematics Education, Business Administration, and Public Administration. He also studied Law at Rutgers, OSU’s Moritz College of Law, and Capital University.

As a member and Vice-President of the Board of Education, Ryan ensured our tax dollars were spent efficiently. He was able to pass a contract unanimously approved by teachers while simultaneously saving taxpayers millions of dollars in property taxes. While serving on City Council, Ryan passed legislation establishing the city’s first-ever, comprehensive strategic plan. This effort culminated in the GoForward Gahanna initiative in 2016. GoForward Gahanna gathered input from hundreds of residents and business leaders about their vision for Gahanna’s future.

Beyond his public service, Ryan spent more than a decade in business management. He led teams ranging in size from ten to 250 employees in sales, distribution, and manufacturing, at one of the nation’s largest private companies. As the co-founder of a public relations and communications consulting firm, Ryan worked with non-profit organizations, other business owners, and media producers to tell their stories and expand their operations.

Outside of City Hall, Ryan is active in a variety of civic organizations. He serves as a board member of GIFT: Gahanna Inclusion for Teens, a fellow and board member of the New Leaders Council Columbus chapter, and served four years as a board member of the Gahanna Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. He is a former member of the Gahanna Kiwanis Club and the Gahanna Jaycees. Ryan is an avid cyclist who enjoys Gahanna’s parks and trails as often as he can, along with his girlfriend, Adrienne, a Speech-Language Pathologist at Columbus Academy.
